Third Battalion, Fifth Marines
While checking out my kid brother’s battalion, I discovered some pretty cool history. Among other places, they’ve fought in:
- Château-Thierry (I’ve been there!)
- Nicaragua in the ’20s
- Guadalcanal
- Peleliu
- Okinawa
- Inchon
- Chosin Reservoir
- Da Nang
- Desert Shield
- Desert Storm
- Iraqi Freedom
- Fallujah
They’ve done some pretty cool stuff.
